Bress, the winery

Adam Marks is a dynamic winemaker whose experience around the world and across Australia led to the launch of his Bress label a couple of years ago. The name Bress is derived from Bourg en Bresse, a town in the east of France, which produces the finest chickens in the world, hence the label Bress Silver and Gold Chook.

Wines from various regions make up the Bress collection. Heathcote grapes and his vineyard near Bendigo are the basis of an excellent Shiraz, Yarra Valley grapes make up the Chardonnay, Margaret River grapes for the Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, and a variety of grapes form his own winery in the Bendigo Region contribute to his other wines. Adams winemaking belief is that good fruit should be treated gently and with minimal intervention which is very much reflected in the intense flavours of his wine.
